1. Information We Collect

To provide Skillbase learning, practice, coaching, and account features, we may collect and process:

  Account Information: Email address and authentication data when you create an account.

  Onboarding & Profile Data: Professional role, work style preferences, goals, and personality assessment results used to personalize your learning experience.

  Learning and Practice Progress: Completed lessons and simulations, coaching results, recommendations, and streak information.

  AI Roleplay Content: Scenario details, messages you type, conversation history, and voice transcripts created when you use voice mode. Voice audio is transcribed through Apple's Speech service; Skillbase sends the resulting text transcript, rather than the audio recording, to OpenAI as part of the roleplay conversation.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• •Generate AI roleplay responses, moderate roleplay content, evaluate scenario progress, and provide coaching and completion feedback
• •Track your progress and maintain streaks
• •Send relevant notifications (with your permission)
• •Understand product and website performance through analytics, where permitted

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted partners to deliver our services:

  Firebase (Google): Authentication and database services

  OpenAI: Our third-party AI provider for roleplay responses, moderation, coaching, feedback, and generated Audio lesson narration. AI roleplay requests may include the scenario details, messages you type, conversation history, and voice transcripts described above. Audio lesson generation sends curated lesson content, the selected language, and a lesson identifier; it does not send your AI roleplay conversation.

  Apple Speech: Converts speech to text when you choose voice mode. Availability of on-device recognition varies, so Apple may process voice audio to produce the transcript.

  RevenueCat: Subscription management

  AppsFlyer: Attribution and deep linking analytics

  Google Analytics, Meta, and TikTok: Optional website analytics and advertising measurement, loaded only after you allow analytics on the website

4. Your Choice Before AI Roleplay

Before your first AI roleplay, Skillbase identifies OpenAI, explains the roleplay data that will be shared and why, and asks for your explicit permission. If you choose Not Now, Skillbase exits the roleplay and does not send roleplay data to OpenAI. If you choose Agree & Continue, Skillbase records that consent on your device and allows the roleplay to begin. Skillbase will ask again if this disclosure materially changes.

Do not enter sensitive or identifying information in an AI roleplay. You can still use Skillbase's guided simulations and learning features without sharing AI roleplay content with OpenAI.

5. Data Protection and OpenAI Handling

AI requests travel through Skillbase's authenticated server gateway using encrypted HTTPS connections. OpenAI credentials remain on the server and are not embedded in the app. We limit access to people and service providers who need it to operate, secure, and support the service, and we do not sell your personal learning history to third-party data brokers.

OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. Depending on the API endpoint and account controls, OpenAI may retain customer content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. 6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
